When Identification Is Required
Secure and verifiable identification is required to obtain:
- Duplicate titles (purchased on or after 7/1/06)
- New disability placards
- New registrations
- New temporary registration permits
- New titles
The named owner must present their secure and verifiable ID to the motor vehicle technician. If the named owner has asked someone else to complete the transaction on their behalf, a DR2175 Non-Secure Power of Attorney Form must be completed and notarized. The person completing the transaction on the owner's behalf must also present their secure and verifiable identification.
